Dahab 14/10/04 - 21/10/04

Had a great time. Windsurfed every day for seven days. Out of the seven days 5 days were blowin 4BFT+ and 2 days were marginal, though I still got out on those days. In fact every day involved planing so that was good. Hired kit from the Harry Nass centre at the top of the lagoon (JP Excite 144), cause I was staying at the Novotel Coralia which was nice but for the bloomin noisy air-con units (and no room safe which means you have to use the hotel safety deposit boxes but they were always fully in use so could not get one - be warned). Every day I had a lesson with the English guy there (Rob) who was a great teacher and a funny guy as well. Learnt beach starts, how to plane properly, using the harness properly, jibing, footstraps. Yeah wicked, awesome. The location was perfect for me, the shallow end of the lagoon is ideal for practising beach and waterstarts progressively (though I cannot really waterstart yet lol). Food was fab, didn't sea a cloud in the sky all week, weather and water far too warm for a shortie. Dammit, what a great week. Will probably go back next year. Didn't do any kitesurfin. Top Bollox.
